The development of land based fish farming is important to meet the growing market demand for salmon in a sustainable manner, and AKVA group plays an important role in making this happen as the world’s leading supplier of land based solutions.
To support our growth we are now seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our Engineering Department to produce end user manuals for our systems. In this role you need to have a strong understanding of technical writing principles and be familiar with single source authoring tools such as XML, Adobe, or similar.
Work location will be at our modern head office at Klepp Næringspark, only a short 5-minute walk from Øksnevadporten train station, with parking for everyone, and brand-new gym/shower facilities.
Working Tasks
- Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and produce end user manuals for our systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for our products, including installation manuals, user manuals, and other technical documents.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand language for end users.
- Use technical drawings and schematics to create and illustrate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
Qulifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field. Longer experience can compensate for lack of education.
- Experience in technical writing for engineering systems, in a technical industry.
- Proven experience in technical writing, with a focus on end user manuals and technical documentation.
- Experience with single source authoring tools such as XML, Adobe, or similar.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
